Learn to Pray Effectively, No. 3

When the disciples asked, "Lord, teach us to pray" (Luke 11:2) the Lord Jesus must have said, "I will" and He gave them a "prayer list." We call it the Lord's prayer. No, it is the Lord's prayer list. "If you want to have an effective prayer life you must have a prayer list." Why? Because we pray about something for a week or two and then what do we do? We forget it, we drop it, we give up or just quit and that is where we miss it. We are taught to "keep on asking." A written out prayer list will help you to "keep on asking."

How I wish someone had pointed this out me 50 years ago. A written out pray list has transformed my prayer life like nothing ever did before. There are two important prayer lists in the Bible and another that I have gotten together from the things we are told to pray and often don't. We will get to them later and show what a difference they make in your prayer life when you begin to "keep on asking" for these things listed.
